To Competa by public transport

Take the train from the station opposite the airport exit.

As you leave Terminal 3 Arrivals Hall, ahead of you is a ticket office.  Continue walking, passing the bus stops and just a little further you will come to the Train Station (2-3 minutes walk).  If you arrive from the departures area upstairs, you can walk along and take a lift or escalators down to the Train Station.

Take the C1 train to Malaga Maria Zambrano Train Station (three stops), which is situated beneith a shopping mall.

The station is Malagas Central station and also has connections to several major citys like Madrid, Cordoba and Sevilla.

Walk through the entire shopping mall to get a bus from the Alsa bus station, which is just across the mall on Calle Mendivil.

The bus for Competa (busstop 7) leaves three times on weekdays (mon-fri).

Buy ticket from the driver - 4,51 euros.

It will take approximately 1.45 hour to get to Competa, where the busstop is in the bottom of the town. Walk up the road to the center square. It can be quite an ordeal to get to your end destination, so remember to have a bottle of water with you.
